Job Summary
- We are seeking a Senior OMS Technical Architect / Lead Engineer to own and evolve end-to-end Order Management System (OMS) architecture across Yantra, SAP Hybris/Commerce, Mirakl 3P, and digital platforms. This role leads distributed, event-driven systems in a multi-cloud (Azure + Google Cloud Platform) environment supporting critical retail order and fulfillment workflows.
Key Responsibilities
- Own OMS architecture for order creation, orchestration, fulfillment, and post-order flows
- Define service boundaries, APIs, event schemas, and integration standards
- Lead architectural decisions, design reviews, and cross-team governance
- Architect event-driven workflows using Kafka, async messaging, and orchestration patterns
- Drive multi-cloud active/active resiliency, failover, and scaling strategies
- Lead cloud modernization on Azure (AKS, APIM, CosmosDB, Azure SQL) and Google Cloud Platform (GKE, Cloud SQL)
- Oversee CI/CD standards, GitHub migration, zero-downtime deployments, and quality gates
- Act as integration authority for Hybris, Mirakl, AEM, LaunchDarkly, and partner platforms
- Define observability, performance testing, and automation strategies
- Mentor engineers and align across platform, DevOps, and business teams
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years in backend or platform engineering with lead/architect experience
- Strong expertise in Java / Spring Boot (with .NET exposure a plus)
- Event-driven & distributed systems (Kafka, async workflows, resiliency patterns)
- Multi-cloud architecture (Azure + Google Cloud Platform)
- REST API design, contract versioning, and system integration
- CI/CD: Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Docker, Helm, YAML pipelines
- Data platforms: Cosmos DB, Azure SQL, Liquibase, ETL pipelines
- Observability: Open Telemetry, Dynatrace, logging & tracing
- Retail OMS domain experience (order lifecycle, fulfilment, marketplaces)
Preferred Qualifications
- OMS platforms: Yantra, SAP Hybris/Commerce, Mirakl
- GitHub migration experience
- SRE / reliability engineering exposure
- Retail or eCommerce fulfilment domain knowledge
