Job Title: SQL Developer
Location: Remote
Duration/Term: Long-Term Contract


Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced SQL Developer to design and implement an efficient migration strategy from Oracle to SQL Server. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data mappings, transformation, and validation processes, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and integrity throughout the migration lifecycle.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement an optimized data migration strategy from Oracle to SQL Server.
  • Analyze and document Oracle schema, data structures, and table relationships.
  • Develop and maintain scripts for data transformation and loading.
  • Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and integrity throughout the migration process.
  • Document data mappings, transformation logic, and migration procedures.
  • Perform data validation and reconciliation between source (Oracle) and target (SQL Server) databases.
  • Troubleshoot migration challenges, optimizing performance and scalability.


Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hands-on experience in database migrations, preferably Oracle to SQL Server.
  • Proficiency in SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Strong knowledge of data mappings, schema design, and migration processes.
  • Experience in data validation and reconciliation methodologies.
  • Ability to optimize migration workflows for efficiency and performance.
