Description

SAIC seeks an experienced Hardware Engineer Senior to support the US Space Force, Space Systems Command, in performing operational maintenance and sustainment of ground-based radars critical to US and Allied strategic missile surveillance, warning, defense, and space surveillance missions. In support of the government customer, the SAIC Program Manager, and the Chief Engineer. This position is located in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Job Duties:

  • Perform electrical and mechanical troubleshooting of systems and subsystems and restore functionality.
  • Provide on-site technical expertise for Emergency Depot Level Maintenance, Urgent Depot Level Maintenance, Engineering Assists, and Technical Assists at any of the 6 ground-based radar sites.
  • Perform electrical and mechanical failure evaluation on failed spare parts returned to Depot.
  • Generate test plans, test procedures, trip reports, investigation reports, technical orders.
  • Provide lab and site integration, test, and maintenance support, interact, and coordinate with engineers responsible for sustaining systems, sub-systems.

Qualifications
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and nine plus (9+) years' experience.
  • Active Secret Clearance.
  • Preferred RADAR design experience.
  • Understand the engineering life cycle in developing systems, and subsystems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting complex systems and testing hardware conformance to specifications.

Desired:
  • Experience sustaining GBRs, or other Strategic Warning and Surveillance radar systems such as PARCS and UEWR.
  • Knowledge of the Integrated Tactical Warning and Attack Assessment mission and associated enterprise.

Target salary range: $120,001 - $160,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
