Job Details

Piper Companies is hiring a Data Analyst for a well known CRO located in the United States. The Data Analyst will be a part of a small, focused research team in a fast-paced programming environment. Successful candidates must be problem solvers, confident in their technical skillset, and comfortable working independently from the start. The Data Analyst can work remotely in the United States and is not able to provide sponsorship.

Responsibilities for the Data Analyst:
  • Lead the development of statistical programs and conduct analyses using oncology-specific secondary RWD sources, including claims, EHR, and genomic data.
  • Support the development of key study documents, including statistical analysis plans, analysis specifications, and study reports.
  • Assess the feasibility of RWD sources to characterize patient populations, build cohorts, and define/validate key study variables.
  • Plan and program the integration of data from multiple sources.
  • Conduct analyses to characterize patient cohorts and perform quality control (QC) on datasets within time, budget, and quality standards.
  • Manage and contribute to quality control of programs and automation of data refreshes.
  • Communicate timelines, progress reports, and results to project teams and key stakeholders.
  • Provide technical, programming, and statistical expertise and independently bring project solutions for complex studies.
  • Collaborate closely with epidemiologists and other scientists to refine data management and analytic procedures, code lists, and workflows.

Requirements for the Data Analyst:
  • Expertise in SAS or R programming and fluency in SQL and macro usage.
  • Experience programming oncology-specific methodologies, including deriving lines of therapy and conducting survival analyses.
  • Prior programming experience using Flatiron Health data is required.
  • Pharmaceutical industry experience is preferred.

Compensation for the Data Analyst:
  • $160,000 - $180,000 base salary
