Job Description

Why Your Role Matters

As the Business Systems Engineer Director, you play a critical role in bridging the gap between business needs and technology solutions. You will be responsible for overseeing and analyzing the software needs of various departments within our association. This role involves a deep understanding of both business processes and technical capabilities, ensuring that software systems are effectively aligned with the company's strategic goals.

You will also support the implementation of Power BI and ensure leaders have the resources and data to make data-driven decisions.

Salary: $97,500 to $110,000, depending on experience, with bonus eligibility.

  • Monitor overall performance to proactively identify potential issues and tune
  • Develop and maintain user documentation and training materials.
  • Identify and resolve recurring software/process problems.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and process reduction.
  • Engage resources for software configuration, integration, and improvements.
  • Optimize the software budget and ensure we have the right systems in place to meet operational needs and make data-driven decisions.
  • Implement Power BI, build dashboards, and relevant reporting resources.
  • Partner with business leaders to identify data analytics and reporting needs.
  • Complete other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions

How You Make an Impact

You will undertake a comprehensive analysis of our software landscape and map out all internal software, identifying inefficiencies and areas for improvement. You will work closely with different departments to understand their specific needs and challenges, and collaborate and partner with them to find or develop software solutions to address their needs. You will play a key role in automating processes, optimizing software budgets by eliminating redundancies, and setting software policies and standards. Additionally, you will be involved in selecting new software, ensuring compatibility and cost-effectiveness, and negotiating contracts with vendors.

You will oversee the implementation of Power BI and additional systems that will help you deliver meaningful data to your business partners.

Your responsibilities will include:
