Oracle Fusion Applications Analyst (Finance & HCM)

Location: New Orleans, LA. Local candidates preferred; relocation supported
Mako Professionals is supporting a fast-growing utilities client that is expanding its internal Oracle Fusion Applications team. This role will work alongside implementation partners and external consultants while serving as an internal functional resource supporting Oracle Fusion Finance and HCM applications. Over time, this individual will also become involved with procurement-related systems as the platform continues to evolve.
This is a hands-on, mid-level role ideal for someone who enjoys production support, functional ownership, and partnering closely with the business in a utilities environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day operations of Oracle Fusion Finance and HCM applications in a production environment
  • Act as an internal functional point of contact between business users, implementation teams, and external consultants
  • Assist with functional configuration, testing, and validation of enhancements and quarterly Oracle updates
  • Gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional solutions
  • Support integrations, reporting, and data flows in coordination with technical teams
  • Troubleshoot functional issues and manage resolution through partners or Oracle SRs
  • Participate in future phases supporting Oracle Fusion Procurement and related processes
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, controls, and best practices aligned with a regulated utilities organization
Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience supporting Oracle applications, including Oracle Fusion ERP
  • Hands-on functional experience in Oracle Fusion Finance modules (GL, AP, AR, FA, Projects, or related areas)
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM modules (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits, Talent, or similar)
  • Experience working with system integrators and external consulting partners
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end business processes and cross-functional dependencies
  • Experience supporting post-go-live environments and ongoing system optimization
  • Strong communication skills with business and technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
  • Exposure to Oracle Fusion Procurement or Supply Chain modules
  • Utilities, energy, public sector, or other regulated industry experience
  • Experience with Oracle Utilities Cloud applications, including Customer Cloud Service (CCS)
  • Prior involvement in Oracle Fusion implementations or major upgrades
  • Familiarity with Oracle Integration Cloud or ERP integrations
