Job Title: Instructional Systems Designer / Documentation Specialist

Duration: 5 Years (Tentative)
Location: Remote (On-site as needed with 72-hour notice)


Job Summary:

The organization is seeking an experienced Instructional Systems Designer / Documentation Specialist to design, develop, and enhance online training materials and technical documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in eLearning design, multimedia content development, and adult learning principles, as well as proficiency with leading instructional design tools.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new self-paced online lessons and videos for adult learners.

  • Revise and update existing interactive eLearning materials.

  • Utilize Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, and Camtasia to build engaging and SCORM-compliant training content.

  • Create, edit, and maintain instructional and technical documentation, including:

    • Quick Reference Cards and Guides

    • Instructional Manuals

    • Training Videos and Multimedia Resources

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements and review deliverables.

  • Participate in meetings and design sessions as needed.

  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) reviews to ensure content accuracy, functionality, and compliance with learning standards.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience using Articulate Storyline 360, Articulate Rise, Camtasia, and Microsoft Office 365 (Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word).

  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory, instructional design best practices, and self-paced eLearning delivery methods.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively with multiple stakeholders.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

  • Openness to feedback and commitment to continuous improvement.


Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing and developing eLearning content for adult learners.

  • Minimum 2 years conducting quality assurance reviews for eLearning accuracy, functionality, and compliance.

  • Demonstrated experience creating multimedia and SCORM-compliant content using Articulate Storyline 360 and Articulate Rise.

  • Experience using Vyond or similar platforms to develop video components.

  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and integration of learning content.
