Job Description:
Broadcom, a recognized leader in Broadband, WiFi, and Video technologies, is seeking a highly skilled WLAN Field Application Engineer (FAE) to join our team and contribute to the advancement of our sales strategies with key Service Provider customers. This is a pivotal role to expand Broadcom's business by providing world-class technical support and promoting our products throughout the product lifecycle.
The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in WiFi technologies, with a strong blend of software and hardware proficiency, and a preference for experience in WiFi embedded software development. This individual will engage with diverse customer teams, including Engineering and Management, as well as Broadcom R&D and business teams, to ensure that customer needs are met while fostering long-term partnerships.

Compensation and Benefits
The On Target Earnings (OTE) range for this position is $96,000 - $153,000.
OTE includes Sales Incentive Commission in accordance with relevant plan documents. This position is also eligible for equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.

Profile & Experience:
- BSEE or equivalent technical degree
- Minimum 5+ years relevant experience
- Deep understanding of WiFi technologies and relevant industry standards.
- Strong hands-on experience with both software and hardware aspects of WLAN systems, with an emphasis on embedded software development (preferred).
- Experience using Linux SW, debug modules (console) and use of iperf
- Experience with WiFi-related lab test equipment
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with customers, internal teams, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive product solutions in close collaboration with engineering, development, and business teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, customer-oriented approach to technical support.
Responsibilities:
- Own customer Engineering relationships
- Be onsite at customers several times per week
- Initial travel will be minimal (e.g. training), but could increase with customer base
- Drive best-in-class technical support at assigned customers
- Assist customers in debugging test issues and collect test logs for analysis
- Load SW images onto Broadcom reference HW to replicate customer issues and assist with debug
- Obtain insight into upcoming customer projects, schedules, and milestones.
- Work closely with Broadcom and customer Engineering during product definition, development, and into production
- Help drive completion of customer RFPs and RFQs
- Work in collaboration with sales/account management, and BU engineering and marketing teams
- Conduct product presentations and demos to customers
- Assist with product benchmarking and testing
