Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure and the broader Microsoft technology stack. This role involves designing and implementing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure solutions while aligning with enterprise architecture best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT infrastructure, Azure services, hybrid cloud environments, and Microsoft technologies such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and implementation of Azure-based infrastructure solutions for enterprise applications.
  • Define and document infrastructure architecture, technology roadmaps, and migration strategies.
  • Collaborate with application architects, DevOps teams, and business stakeholders to align infrastructure with business goals.
  • Architect hybrid cloud environments integrating on-premises and Azure services.
  • Design secure network topologies using Azure Virtual Networks, NSGs, firewalls, and VPN/ExpressRoute.
  • Provide governance around Azure resource management, cost optimization, and compliance.
  • Lead modernization initiatives including IaaS to PaaS migrations, containerization, and serverless design.
  • Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates, Bicep, Terraform, or Azure CLI.
  • Set up and integrate monitoring, logging, backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies.
  • Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and advise on innovations and best practices.
  • Support security, identity, and compliance policies leveraging Azure AD, RBAC, Defender, and related tools.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to developing architectural standards and frameworks.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of overall experience in IT infrastructure, with 5+ years focused on Azure cloud architecture.
  • Strong experience in designing, implementing, and governing Azure environments.
  • Deep knowledge of Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Azure AD.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, backup, and business continuity principles in cloud environments.
  • Experience with Azure IaaS, PaaS, VMs, App Services, AKS, Storage, Key Vault, Log Analytics, etc.
  • Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise architecture principles, ITIL, and cloud governance frameworks.

Preferred Certifications (any of the following):

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert
  • TOGAF or similar enterprise architecture certification

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid environments (Azure, AWS, on-prem).
  • Exposure to Power Platform, Dynamics 365, or Microsoft Defender suite.
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
