The Ohio State University is seeking an IT Service Support Analyst to provide basic support for computer technology-based systems, resources, and services in support of teaching, research, clinics and outreach for the College of Veterinary Medicine and Veterinary Medical Center. Provides general, broad-based technical support for hardware, software, troubleshooting, customer services and escalates complex problems to system experts when necessary. Responsibilities involve work in one or more of the following areas: systems selection and imaging new systems, systems maintenance and rebuilding systems, user-support, and support and guidance in for technical solutions that can improve the administrative, academic, research and clinical functions of the college. AV support in both classrooms and conference rooms. Some typical activities may include installation of hardware or software on computing devices throughout the college and Veterinary Medical System, troubleshooting, serving as a liaison with users, vendor support, software adaptation, participation in equipment selection, user training and general support.

This is a hybrid position requiring on-site presence.

Pay Range: $24.67 - $32.33; commensurate with experience, internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the candidate's qualifications.

Additional Information:

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in computer and information science or an equivalent experience; 1-2 years of experience in an IT environment. Strong communications skills both oral and written; experience in a multi-platform environment, working knowledge of Windows and Mac OS.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Familiarity with higher educational environments, experience installing and configuring technologies for higher education. Experience with SCCM and/or Jamf. Previous experience in a help desk environment. Experience in troubleshooting a variety of AV related issues.
