Job Details

ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Hardware Engineer to join our team in Ft. Meade, MD. This is a full time position with 5 days being onsite. This position is part of a team that provides engineering and Information Technology services to provision, manage, sustain, innovate, modernize, refresh, reengineer, and secure the Nuclear Command and Control (NC2) and Non-NC2 cryptographic production infrastructure.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analyzing hardware specifications and system/subsystem requirements to conceive and document a practical design for hardware components to include servers, network devices, transmission media, storage devices, user interface devices, and special processors.
  • Ensuring problems with operational hardware have been properly identified and solutions satisfy user's requirements while preparing functional requirements and specification for hardware acquisitions
  • Developing hardware installation schedules based upon set-up, integration, and test timeliness while assisting with preparing installation guides, field test procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Conduct site surveys, assesses and documents current site network configuration and site-unique requirements, preparing engineering plans and site installation Technical Design Packages, configuring computers, communications devices and peripheral equipment
  • Responsible for scheduling requested evaluations submitted from vendors, receiving, unpacking, and setting up submitted commercial equipment for evaluation and setting up appropriate tools and sensors to support evaluations.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, or related discipline; an additional 5 years of hardware engineering experience might be substituted for a degree
  • 7+ years of experience as a Hardware Engineer analyzing complex hardware systems for SIGINT solutions
  • Experience with VHDL, Vilinx, Vivado or similar tools/technologies

Clearance Requirements:
  • Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time. Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer. Must be able to move vendor equipment
