Description

The Sitecore Engineer / Snr. Developer is responsible for the design and development of the core Sitecore platform and the addition of new capabilities to it in partnership with different technology and business teams. This includes architecting solutions, designing interfaces, estimating work, building new modules/templates/components, maintaining existing capabilities, and creating Responsive/Adaptive web pages that can be viewed on desktop, tablet, and mobile, hosted on premise or in the cloud. The Senior Sitecore Developer will ensure the core Sitecore platform design and technology comply with Kimberly Clark development and security standards, meeting the functional and non functional requirements including re use, performance, availability and scalability using Helix principles. The Senior Sitecore Developer will need to develop technical artifacts where required (technical specifications, architectural diagrams, database diagrams, etc).

The Senior Sitecore Developer will also guide the engineering teams on the adoption of the core Sitecore platform and its associated capabilities.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Participate in requirements gathering to solidify requirements and determine the best technical solution to meet the business needs.
  • Design, develop and implement new templates, components, and responsive web pages/sites in Sitecore to support the expansion of the core Sitecore platform. Support Kimberly Clark s development and security standards while developing.
  • Work closely with the Digital Producers and/or Marketing organization on the implementation of new capabilities including Sitecore WEM Platform, Sitecore Content Management Solution etc.
  • Carry out the development of the assigned project adhering to the engineering standards/best practices, committing to the agreed timeline, and ensures quality metrics are met.
  • Integrate internal and external applications using APIs
  • Provide consulting and technical guidance to the Digital Production Team including System Integrators/Service Providers on the Sitecore CMS platform.
  • Prepare technical and other documents related the core platforms as required.
  • Perform technical onboarding of the new employees or Agencies on the core platform.
  • Share new tools, technology standards, and technical learnings on Sitecore CMS platform with the engineering teams.

Skills / Experience Required

  • A Bachelors of Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • Experience in implementing new technology /capabilities and in making architecture decisions.
  • 5 7 years experience in the development of scalable consumer facing digital solutions (consumer websites, web applications, mobile sites etc.) in .NET/ C# / MVC (working with at least one framework like WCF or Web API) with a key focus on performance, security, and scalability.
  • Extensive experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST) architecture.
  • Minimum 3+ years of hands on experience with Sitecore CMS required. Key Sitecore and Sitecore related skillsets:
