The Core Services team is responsible for the foundational services of Microsoft Teams serving billions of calls per day to power numerous Teams scenarios. It provides exciting opportunities for building services and systems that meet the needs of an ever-growing user base of the fastest growing product in Microsoft's history. This is a unique opportunity to hone your software system design skills and gain exposure to a cutting edge technology stack (.NET Core, Containers, Caching, Azure Cloud, Entra auth) with E2E ownership and broad scope to have a significant impact.

- Design, development, testing, and DevOps of Teams services ensuring security, availability and performance.
- Contribute to design documents and participate in code reviews.
- Participate in on-call rotations, incident response, and root cause analysis.
Qualifications:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- 1+ year experience building and operating large-scale cloud services.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Drive to improve security, performance, availability and supportability of services and systems.
