Job Title: Data Center Decommissioning Technician
Location: Ashburn, VA (with future assignments in Sterling and Manassas)
Job Type: Full-Time, Contract
Openings: 10 Positions
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Job Summary:
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Data Center Decommissioning Technicians to support ongoing decom projects across multiple data center campuses. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with hands-on experience in data center environments who are looking to grow their careers in IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform rack and stack operations for hardware installation and removal
  • Execute decommissioning tasks including hardware disassembly and asset tagging
  • Support hardware troubleshooting and break/fix ticket resolution
  • Assist with equipment deployment and inventory management
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate project completion

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a data center environment preferred
  • Familiarity with decommissioning processes and hardware handling
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and hardware components
  • IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, etc.) are a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures

Additional Information:
  • Initial work location is Ashburn, VA
  • Team will later be distributed across Sterling and Manassas campuses
  • Contract expected to extend up to 12 months based on performance and project needs

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
