RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Workday Developer in Winston Salem, NC.
Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Workday Developer to join our team and support the implementation and ongoing enhancement of Workday modules, including HRIS, Learning, and Finance. This role will focus on building integrations and reports outside the scope of the current Workday Professional Services engagement, while also maintaining and improving existing Workday functionality. We value candidates who are eager to learn and grow-training will be provided for the right full-time hire.
Key Responsibilities:
* Workday Developer will design, develop, and implement Workday solutions across HRIS, Finance, Source to Contract, and Procure to Pay
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
* Configure and customize Workday business processes, workflows, and integrations
* Maintain Workday security roles and permissions
* Troubleshoot and resolve Workday-related issues
* Integrate Workday applications with other enterprise systems
* As a Workday Developer, you will stay current with Workday updates and assess their impact
* Conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to peers and junior developers
* Ensure security and performance best practices are followed
* Support production and test environments and continuously improve engineering practices
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology or related field
* 7+ years of experience in complex IT projects using SDLC
* 5+ years of hands-on Workday development experience
* Strong HRIS experience
* Recent hands-on experience in traditional development (e.g., Java, C++)
* Experience designing data visualizations and analytic solutions using Workday Prism
* Experience with source code control systems (e.g., Git, SVN)
* Experience with Workday Studio and advanced reporting
* Familiarity with CI/CD tools and test automation (e.g., Jenkins, Postman)
* Familiarity with Workday Prism and Workday Extend
* Understanding of integration technologies (SOAP, REST APIs)
* Deep expertise in Workday Finance and related modules
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Proven problem-solving abilities
* Ability to configure and maintain Workday business processes and security roles
* UX/UI design experience is a plus
Nice to Have:
* Workday certification(s)
* Experience with Workday Learning
* Experience with MuleSoft
* Agile development familiarity (though this is not an Agile environment)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
