Job Title: Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer

Location: Hybrid (1-2 days per week on-site in Philadelphia or Rockville, MD)

Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire (6 months)

Job Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to lead application modernization efforts, transitioning 10 IBM WebSphere applications to MS Azure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in .NET technologies, Azure cloud architecture, and full-stack development, ensuring the performance, scalability, and security of portal applications. This role requires strong leadership, technical acumen, and collaboration skills to guide development teams and work cross-functionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement scalable software solutions using the .NET framework.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead and mentor development teams, ensuring best practices, coding standards, and design principles.
• Architect Azure-based microservices, optimizing application performance and scalability.
• Conduct regular code reviews, ensuring maintainability, security, and efficiency.
• Stay current with .NET, Azure, and industry trends, implementing continuous improvements.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges, enhance system performance, and refine existing applications.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams and design specifications.
• Coordinate development efforts with offshore teams.
• Interface with client teams to resolve application issues.
• Work with Business Analysts to validate and refine business requirements.
• Partner with business leaders to align technology with growth and operational success.

Primary Competencies:

• Technical Skills - Expertise in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, React, Angular, API, Azure Cloud, Power BI, SQL Server.

Qualifications & Experience:

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-8 years of experience in software development, including 2+ years in a Lead Developer role.
• Expertise in Azure cloud-based architectures and microservices.
• Proficient in Azure DevOps, CI/CD, Git, and Agile methodologies.
• Strong analytical and strategic problem-solving skills.
• Ability to multi-task, work independently, and thrive in a team environment.
• Self-motivated individual with experience managing small to medium-sized projects.
