Job Description:

Full Stack Java Developer

Deliver simple solutions to complex problems as a Full Stack Java Developer at GDIT. Your work will have you fully immersed in our client's domain in order to deliver solutions for their complex needs. You'll prioritize the client while we prioritize your career.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT:
  • You'll join our talented Development Team. Our project is built on a multi-tier architecture including Service Oriented architecture, multi-tier web applications using Java and various other COTS products.
  • Build and maintain highly complex, high-volume, large scale, scalable, maintainable and extensible software on a Java/J2EE application stack using full software development life-cycle (SDLC) methodology from concept, design, and documentation to testing, ensuring specification compliancy and adhering to coding standard
  • Analyzes user/business needs and functionality to plan and assign with the design of software systems to meet those needs

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related technical field, OR equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:
  • 8 +years' experience in software development with an understanding of Core Java/J2EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, ORM Tools (Hibernate), Java Build tools, Angular 13+, Junit testing, and REST Services. Relational Database, and SQL
  • 3+ year of large-scale application experience
  • Healthcare, Medicaid or Health Exchange experience preferred

Skills
  • Ability to write simple and complex SQL Queries, preferably with DB2 SQL syntax including PL/SQL.
  • Good analytical and multitasking skills.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions; Critical thinking and creative problem solving

The likely salary range for this position is $100,300 - $135,700. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
