The Role:

Our Client is seeking a Azure Infrastructure Engineer to join our team in Mississauga, ON (Need Onsite day 1, hybrid 3 days from office).

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Azure Infrastructure Engineer with a minimum of 7 years in Azure cloud environments. The ideal candidate will possess relevant certifications in Azure, Databricks, and OpenShift, and have a proven track record of successful project delivery in the fintech banking sector. This role involves designing, deploying, and managing Azure-based applications and infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Azure cloud infrastructure to support application deployment and operations.
  • Collaborate with development teams to create and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application deployment.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability on Azure platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices in cloud architecture.
  • Leverage Azure services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure Databricks for application development and deployment.
  • Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues, implementing solutions to enhance reliability and efficiency.
  • Assist in the migration of existing applications to Azure cloud.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to architecture, design, and configuration.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in cloud computing, particularly within the fintech industry.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7+ years of experience working with Azure cloud services.
  • Strong experience with cloud security best practices and compliance frameworks relevant to banking and financial services.
  • Proven experience in application development and architecture in a fintech environment.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, Terraform).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred, but not required:

  • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Azure Developer Associate
  • Azure Databricks Certification
  • Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
