Fire Alarm Installation Technician

Top Skills Required:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of hands-on experience installing fire alarm systems, including both conventional and addressable types.
  • Commercial Wiring: Proven in wiring for fire alarm systems in commercial settings.
  • Wiring Knowledge: Familiarity with wiring types such as 18-2, 16-2, and 16-4.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in using drills, hammers, basic hand tools, and multi-meters.
  • Physical Capability: Must be able to perform demanding tasks such as drilling, mounting boxes, and running wire efficiently.

Job Overview:

We are seeking experienced Fire Alarm Technicians to support new construction projects involving large condo and apartment buildings. Responsibilities include rough wiring, drilling, mounting boxes, and wire installation. No troubleshooting or programming is required for this role.
Daily Expectations:
  • Complete wiring for approximately 10 units per day.
  • Use personal vehicle for commuting (up to 1 hour travel time may be required).

Contract Details:

  • Type: 6-month contract-to-hire.
  • Conversion Benefits: Upon hire, technicians receive a company vehicle, gas card, and EZ Pass.

Additional Information:

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Weekend work is optional and available for overtime.
  • Work Environment: New construction sites including commercial buildings and apartment complexes.
  • Locations: Projects currently active in Roselle, Caldwell, and Englewood Cliffs.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
