Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced SAS Developer/Analyst to join the Commercial Credit Risk team. This role will focus on supporting the acquisition of Comerica work in the Credit Risk space, with a strong emphasis on SAS programming and data management. The developer will work on complex, intertwined SAS codebases that drive critical credit risk reporting and modeling processes (including CECL and other regulatory models).

This position is fully remote, collaborating with a distributed team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize SAS code for complex data flows.
• Build and curate datasets using SAS (proc-SQL, data step programming).
• Support credit risk reporting and modeling initiatives.
• Collaborate with platform teams to ensure smooth integration of acquisition-related work.
• Perform data preparation, transformation, and validation for risk analysis.
• Partner with business and technical stakeholders to deliver accurate, timely outputs.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience:7+yrs
• 6+ years of IT experience with a strong focus on SAS development.
• Proficiency in SAS programming, including PROC SQL and dataset creation.
• Experience working with complex data flows and large datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Background in Banking/Finance domain, particularly Credit Risk.
• Familiarity with regulatory models such as CECL.
• Experience with data analysis and reporting in financial services.
