Please note that this project assignment is with our own direct clients. We do not go through any vendors. STG only does business with direct end-clients. This is expected to be a long-term position. Job Description:

Software Engineer - To meet the growing needs of the mobility business, the Cloud Platform team is looking for a highly motivated, technology focused individual with a passion to work on a collaborative software delivery team to enable the creation and management of Platforms and APIs deployed to the Ford mobility ecosystem. The position will be responsible for implementing platform and API solutions and the support of these services.

Skills Required:

• Serve as a Full Stack Software Engineer that enables the design, development, and support of Platforms, APIs, and services.
• Participate in working sessions to gather customer requirements.
• Develop SpringBoot/Java API/services on Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) utilizing Google Cloud Platform services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Cloud Pub/Sub, Cloud SQL and more.
• Perform software engineering using Test Driven Development (TDD), continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) Work in an agile software development environment using sprint/user story methodology.
• Work with team members to establish best practices to maximize efficiency and minimize risk.
• Interact and work closely with product managers to devise solutions and break them down into incremental production-ready user stories.
• Identify opportunities for adopting new technologies to solve existing needs and predicting future challenges.
• Refactor API/services for simplification and efficiency.
• Execute API Load and Performance (L&P) on API/modules developed.
• Develop software that is Clean Code compliant and utilize tools such as SonarQube.
• Use DevOps tools such as Jenkins, SonarCube, CheckMarx, Fossa, and GitHub to deploy, improve and manage software.
• Stay current on the latest technology and contribute to the technical direction of the company while keeping a customer-centric approach.

Skills Preferred:

• Angular/UI/UX experience
• Expertise in API related technologies such as JSON, REST, GraphQL, Swagger, and Postman
• Experience working with API developer portal products.
• Knowledge about API design standards, patterns, and best-practices
• Experience helping troubleshoot application and performance issues.
• Agile mindset
• Excellent communications skills - ability to engage in deep technical discussions with customers and peers and become a trusted technical advisor.
• Critical thinking, decision-making and leadership aptitudes
• Strong analytical and good interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and problem-solving abilities
• In depth knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, standards and procedures for high quality software development.

Experience Required:

• 3+ years of Software engineering experience using Java, Spring, Sprint Boot developing services (APIs, REST, etc.)
• 1+ years of experience with Google Cloud Platform or other cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, etc.) and associated cloud components.

Education Required:

Bachelor s degree in computer or data science, engineering, statistics, operations research, or other quantitative area
