Location: 100% Remote
Length of Contract: 6 months

Position Description:
We are seeking a seasoned Test Manager to build, manage, and evolve the testing function within our technology organization. This role is ideal for an experienced testing professional who combines leadership capabilities with hands-on technical expertise, including automated testing and Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) practices. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving high-quality software delivery across a complex multi-asset investment management platform and will be responsible for standing up testing services, including frameworks, tools, teams, and best practices.
Responsibilities:
- Define and implement testing strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive testing strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and software development lifecycle. This includes establishing test methodologies, processes, and standards.
- Establish and evolve testing frameworks and tools: Select, implement, and maintain appropriate test automation frameworks, tools, and infrastructure to support efficient and effective testing across various platforms and technologies.
- Drive test automation and SDET practices: Champion the adoption of test automation best practices and integrate SDET principles into the development process, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable automated tests.
- Oversee test planning and execution: Lead the planning, design, and execution of all testing activities, including functional, non-functional, integration, regression, and user acceptance testing.
- Manage defects and reporting: Establish and manage the defect management process, ensuring timely identification, tracking, and resolution of defects. Provide regular, clear, and concise reports on testing progress, risks, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with development, product management, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, provide testing insights, and ensure a shared understanding of quality goals.
Qualifications:
- 8+ years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 3 years in a Test Manager or similar leadership role.
- Proven experience building and scaling testing functions from the ground up, including establishing processes, teams, and tools.
- Deep hands-on expertise in test automation, including experience with various automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, JUnit, TestNG, Pytest).
- Strong understanding and practical experience with SDET principles and practices.
- Solid technical background with the ability to understand complex system architectures and data flows, particularly within financial services or investment management.
- Experience with testing multi-asset trading platforms or similar complex financial systems is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C#).
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology) preferred.
