About the Role:

We are seeking a Technical Trainer - Advanced to join our team supporting the Child Support Program's operational training initiatives. The Consultant will augment existing resources by delivering technical assistance and consultation services focused on developing and revising instructor-led and computer-based training (CBT) and updating the Program s instructional materials.

You will collaborate with agency executives, technical teams, functional staff, contractors, and operational processes to deliver high-quality training content aligned with program updates.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and revise instructor-led and CBT courses using varied instructional methods.

  • Create and edit user guides, work instructions, and related documentation.

  • Analyze system and procedural changes to assess their impact on training materials.

  • Collaborate closely with operational teams and the OPT unit to ensure timely and accurate documentation.

  • Coordinate the review and approval process for all training materials with team leads, Revenue Program Administrators, and senior management.

  • Gather and integrate key information from SMEs, procedures, feedback, and evaluations into engaging instructional content.

  • Ensure high-quality writing standards (grammar, punctuation, plain language, logical flow) in all developed content.

  • Follow departmental and unit standards for instructional material development.

  • Use PowerPoint and Articulate Storyline 360 to design dynamic and interactive courseware.

  • Develop measurable course objectives, interactions, and quizzes that align with learning outcomes.

  • Offer quality assurance and technical assistance for instructional projects.

  • Participate in project meetings, prepare agendas, presentations, and meeting minutes as needed.

  • Communicate project progress to Child Support Program staff, contractors, and other partners.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience developing instructor-led and computer-based training.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience using Articulate Storyline 360.

  • Experience writing clear and concise technical instructions.

  • Proficiency in creating eLearning videos.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

  • Attention to detail, strong organization skills, and ability to work independently or within a team.

  • Experience developing content with measurable objectives and meaningful learner interactions.

  • Familiarity with PowerPoint and other training development tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with knowledge base software.

  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications.

  • Background in Child Support Programs or similar social service programs.
