Job Title: OSP Technician
Location: Sandston, VA
Job Summary:
We are looking for a motivated and reliable Entry-Level OSP Technician to assist with the installation and maintenance of Outside Plant (OSP) infrastructure at a data center. This is a great opportunity to start a career in network infrastructure and gain hands-on experience with fiber optics, cabling, and data center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the installation of fiber optic and copper cabling in and around the data center.
Support the setup of conduits, handholes, and cable pathways under the guidance of senior technicians.
Help with basic cable testing and labeling.
Learn to read and interpret basic construction drawings and cable maps.
Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols.
Document work performed and assist with updating as-built records.
Participate in training and shadow experienced technicians to build technical skills.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required.
Interest in telecommunications, networking, or construction.
Willingness to learn and work in outdoor and indoor environments.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
