IT Data Privacy & Compliance Analyst

This exciting IT Data Privacy and Security Compliance position is open to individuals seeking Contract to Hire or Direct Hire employment opportunities. This role is onsite located in Rochester, NY metro area.

In this role you will assist the IT Compliance team with the management and oversight of the implementation of the a large Data Privacy / Security Application working in collaboration with third parties and stakeholders involved with the project.

Essential Functions:

• Participate in the project to implement a large data security/privacy platform
• Work in collaboration with project team, software vendor implementation team, internal resources and stakeholders.
• Support Data Platform administrative duties if necessary.
• Support project manager with the proactive identification of applications in-scope of project.
• Support IT Compliance and the Data Protection Office with the documentation and maintenance of record of processing activities information for applications in-scope

Qualifications

• Exposure to or knowledge of privacy regulations and their impact on IT processes
• Excellent understanding of IT applications, infrastructure and processes, including the ability to read and understand highly technical material and to suggest technological solutions
• Excellent communication skills to be able to communicate technical concepts in layman terms to diverse audiences
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and organizational skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Detailed-oriented, independent and thorough in examination and analysis
• Highly self-motivated and self-directed
• Extensive experience working in a team-oriented environment in a collaborative manner

Experience:

• 2 to 3 years of experience supporting IT operational controls and technical environments
• 2 to 3 years of experience with IT controls and/or data privacy platform implementations
• Proficiency with IT control frameworks (e.g., SOC1/2, SOX, HIPAA, ISO 27001, PCI DSS)
• Prior experience implementing or supporting managing data security & privacy platforms like BigID or similar OneTrust, Securiti, Concentric AI, and Collibra platform
• Implementation or knowledge of data catalogues, data discovery, data redaction and other data mapping and data privacy tools (e.g., OneTrust) is a plus

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems or a related discipline required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• CISA, CIA, CPA, IAPP s CIPT or equivalent certification is preferred
