Job Details

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Goodyear, AZ that is seeking a Data Center Technician.

Responsibilities:
* Prepares, stages, sets up, and performs startups and shutdowns (e.g., racks, hard drives, switches) according to specific instructions provided via checklists, guides, and standard protocols
* Performs post-execution quality checks and verifies that grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling are set up properly according to safety protocols, deployment standards, and planned Network Design Tasks (NDTs)
* Performs diagnostics and troubleshooting following standard procedures, quickly identifies the cause(s) of issues, and replaces faulty components
* Decommissions hardware for complex changes and/or systems with complex interactions (e.g., upgrading entire racks) following standard procedures
* Verifies security compliance for decommissions
* Follows procedures to communicate, report, and escalate incidents to appropriate data center operations management units and Technician Leads

REQUIREMENTS:
* High School diploma/GED, or equivalent and basic knowledge of computer hardware components
* 5+ years of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology
* Previous experience working in a data center environment
* Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
* Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.

Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
