  • Lead system architecture design including power distribution, UPS, switchgear, and integration with renewable sources and battery storage.
  • Develop and optimize energy management algorithms for grid-tied and off-grid data center operations.
  • Collaborate with customers, product managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to define system requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, UL) and support certification processes.
  • Perform simulations, modeling, and validation of power and control systems using tools like MATLAB/Simulink, ETAP, or PSCAD.
  • Support project execution from concept through commissioning, including technical documentation and troubleshooting.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical roadmaps and innovation strategies.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in electrical system design, preferably in data centers, utilities, or industrial energy systems.
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

Desired Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of power conversion technologies (VFDs, UPS systems, switchgear, transformers).
  • Familiarity with energy management systems (EMS), SCADA, and grid interaction technologies.
  • Experience with simulation and design tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, ETAP, AutoCAD Electrical).
  • Strong project leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with GE Power Conversion products and solutions.
  • Understanding of sustainable energy integration in data center environments.
  • Knowledge of AI or machine learning applications in energy optimization.
