Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to support enterprise-level IT infrastructure initiatives with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Azure, Active Directory, and AWS services. This position is onsite in Tallahassee, FL and plays a key role in ensuring cloud and server performance, security, and availability across the Department s infrastructure.

As the primary line of communication for the project team, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders, technical teams, and users to develop, deploy, and optimize cloud and on-premise systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Azure Entra ID, Active Directory, and Windows Server (2016+)

• Optimize Azure and AWS cloud resources and services

• Perform performance analysis and recommend infrastructure improvements

• Support and troubleshoot Windows and Linux servers

• Write and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and monitoring

• Assist in infrastructure security configurations and application access

• Document technical specifications, processes, and standards

• Support system deployments, upgrades, and third-party application maintenance

• Provide technical solutions to meet infrastructure needs

• Support scheduling and implementation of infrastructure and software systems

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor s/Master s in CS, IS, or related field (or 4+ years of equivalent experience)

• 5+ years of Windows Server administration (3+ years with Windows Server 2016 or newer)

• 3+ years of Microsoft Azure experience

• 2+ years of AWS cloud administration

• 5+ years with Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy in enterprise environments (1,000+ users)

• 3+ years of Linux server administration

• Proficiency with PowerShell scripting

• Experience in virtual server/cloud environments

• Background in installing and supporting third-party applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Azure Government and AWS GovCloud

• Familiarity with Florida Rule 60GG-1, F.A.C. or other government project compliance

• Experience in criminal justice IT or state government projects

• Project management experience with large, distributed user bases

• Knowledge in programming, data analytics, or related IT fields

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-driven environment

• This is an onsite role in Tallahassee, FL remote work is not an option.
