Job Title: Database Environment Setup Engineer

 

Location: Remote | Experience: 8–10 years

 

Role Summary:

Responsible for setting up and deploying test environments for multiple databases — Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, MongoDB, Cassandra, and Couchbase — across physical servers, Red Hat OpenStack, and Red Hat OpenShift platforms.

 

Key Responsibilities:

·         Install, configure, and validate RDBMS and NoSQL databases on various platforms.

·         Automate deployments using Ansible, Terraform, or cloud-init.

·         Manage storage, networking, and access controls across environments.

·         Deploy containerized DBs on OpenShift using Operators or StatefulSets.

·         Integrate basic monitoring and backup mechanisms.

·         Document setup procedures and troubleshoot environment issues.

 

Required Skills:

·         Strong hands-on experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and Red Hat OpenStack/OpenShift.

·         Expertise in database setup and configuration (RDBMS + NoSQL).

·         Proficiency with automation tools (Ansible, Terraform) and scripting (Bash/Python).

·         Understanding of Kubernetes concepts and persistent storage.
