Description – DevOps Engineer
Summary:
As a DevOps Engineer, you will be a key contributor to the implementation of Red Hat’s middleware and cloud-native solutions. You will work directly with enterprise clients to modernize application infrastructure, streamline DevOps practices, and enable continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines. Your role will involve hands-on development, architecture design, and strategic consulting to help clients adopt and scale cloud-based technologies using Red Hat OpenShift and related tools.

- Lead the design, development, and deployment of enterprise applications using Red Hat OpenShift and DevOps methodologies.
- Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using Java/JEE, Spring Boot, and container technologies.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Ansible.
- Containerize applications and manage Docker images for middleware platforms including Tomcat, Apache, WebLogic, and JBoss.
- Configure and manage Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems and OpenShift environments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess infrastructure needs, application readiness, and resource allocation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams and functional users.
- Communicate project progress, value, and metrics to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Implement automation for provisioning, deployment, and environment management.
- Analyze and resolve complex technical issues across the software development lifecycle.
- Support Agile development practices and participate in sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise application development, DevOps, and middleware integration.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with:
- Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform
- DevOps Middleware and CI/CD pipelines
- Java/JEE and Agile methodologies
- Red Hat JBoss Fuse, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration
- Ansible and Red Hat Satellite
- Strong understanding of:
- Application architecture and modernization
- Microservices design and best practices
- Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and container orchestration
- Agile and DevOps principle
