Description

We are looking for a skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Des Moines, Iowa. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, reliability, and security of our enterprise database systems. Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases to ensure their performance, security, and reliability.
Design and implement logical and physical data models to support organizational needs.
Develop and maintain scripts for automation, reporting, and database processes.
Optimize database performance through tuning and configuration management.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database solutions with business objectives.
Perform regular backups and recovery operations to safeguard data integrity.
Monitor and troubleshoot database systems to resolve issues promptly.
Provide insights and recommendations for improving database architecture and processes.
Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance database systems.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL.
Proficiency in database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and data modeling.
Familiarity with backup technologies and recovery processes.
Strong skills in configuration management and optimization techniques.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent relevant experience.
Experience with additional database systems is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
