DevOps Engineer (Azure BI) - Only W2

Position Summary

• Backlog Management, Project and Support Deliverables, Adoption - Automate Continuous Integration builds, nightly builds, deployments and unit tests across multiple different environments (DEV, QA, UAT, Production) each constituting different types of servers (DB, App, Web) and different number of servers of each type (for load balancing and such) using VSTS Build, Power Shell, and MS Build, MS Deploy.
• Will be a part of the on -call support rotation and executes the prompt resolution of production incidents.
• Develop and improve the tools and services to necessary to support the DevOps model and eliminate manual work through automation.
• Proactively researches, consults, and recommends technology enhancements, always seeking continuous improvement.
• Primarily responsible for building, deploying, maintaining, and automating our software development pipeline from source control through production.
• Assist in building and supporting the new deployment of products and infrastructure
• Assist product updates/fixes for technical problems or software defects
• Assist in finding ways to automate and improve development and release processes
• Mentor BI software developers and software engineers to ensure development follows established processes
• Work closely with various teams to build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and workflows
• Assist in developing and owning best practices/methodology is for provisioning, platform scaling, configuration management, monitoring to improve the organization's visibility of how systems interact and perform
• Participate in on-call escalation chain as well as off-hour maintenances
• Collaborate and take direction from Sr DevOps Engineer

Education

• Degree in Computer Science or related field

Experience

• Experience designing, developing, deploying product updates, identifying production issues, and helping with integrations that meet our customer needs.
• Experience with Azure DevOps
