Role Overview

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and deploying critical data center infrastructure. This includes structured cabling, server installations, network hardware support, and coordination with vendors and internal teams to ensure reliable operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate with external vendors/suppliers (QTS, Digital Realty, DataBank) for power, cabling, and connectivity needs.
• Define and procure copper and fiber components; oversee full cabinet deployments.
• Install, maintain, and support data center infrastructure (servers, cabling, networking hardware).
• Remove decommissioned assets and perform cable cleanup.
• Maintain accurate inventory and update asset management databases.
• Ensure compliance with PNC cabling and labeling standards.

Required Technical Skills

• Proven experience installing, removing, and maintaining servers, cabling, and networking equipment.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic technologies and structured cabling (testing and remediation).
• Ability to diagnose hardware faults and layer-one connectivity issues.
• Understanding of data center rack power and connectivity requirements.
• Experience in daily operational support of enterprise data centers.
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
• Quick learner, adaptable to new technologies.
