Instructional Designer III - Global Retail Training
Location: Remote (Seattle-based candidates preferred for collaboration with core teams)
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM PST
Contract Length: 7 months
Pay Rate: $50-$60/hour W2 (based on experience)
Russell Tobin & Associates is supporting a Fortune 10 tech-powered retail innovator in hiring a remote Instructional Designer II to join their Global Retail Training team. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact learning organization building e-learning solutions that scale across thousands of users worldwide. This 7-month W2 contract role offers a competitive hourly rate and the chance to work on initiatives that directly support business operations across a global workforce.
What You ll Do:
As an Instructional Designer, you ll partner with Project Managers and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to design, build, and improve engaging digital training content. You ll use Articulate 360, Adobe Creative Suite, and performance data to craft effective learning experiences tailored to diverse user groups. Your ability to manage multiple projects with precision and creativity will be key to your success.
Key Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and deploy eLearning content using Articulate 360, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop

Collaborate with SMEs and PMs to build high-impact training programs for end users

Analyze learner feedback and performance metrics to revise and optimize training content

Develop evaluation tools to measure learner engagement and retention

Balance multiple development projects independently and cross-functionally

What We re Looking For:

7+ years of experience in instructional design or related field
-
Proficiency in Articulate 360, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop

Experience with LMS platforms and performance-based learning design

Strong knowledge of instructional theories, adult learning principles, and eLearning development

Familiarity with HTML, audio/video editing, and Microsoft Office

Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, virtual environment
Nice-to-Have Experience:

Background in technical writing or teaching

Familiarity with evaluation methodologies for measuring learning impact

Experience working in large-scale tech or e-commerce environments
