SAP PP Functional Lead

The SAP Production Planning (PP) Functional Lead will spearhead the design, configuration and deployment of the SAP PP module on an S/4HANA greenfield implementation.

The successful candidate will lead crossfunctional teams through workshops, blueprinting, configuration, data migration, cutover, golive and postgolive support, ensuring productionplanning solutions align with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead SAP PP workstream: Own the endtoend design, configuration and implementation of SAP PP (MRP, BOM, routings, work centers, capacity planning, demand management, production versions) in an S/4HANA greenfield project.
• Process design & fit gap: Conduct workshops with manufacturing and scheduling teams to map current processes, perform fit gap analysis and develop futurestate process designs that optimise production operations.
• Data migration & cutover: Plan and execute the transition of production orders, BOMs, routings and related master data; coordinate shutdown/startup of planning processes, and conduct mock cutovers and simulations.
• System configuration & integration: Configure SAP PP and integrate with adjacent modules (MM, SD, QM, FI/CO) and advanced planning tools (PP/DS/APO); support interfaces (IDocs/BAPIs) and provide functional specifications for custom developments.
• Testing & quality assurance: Develop unit, integration and useracceptance test scripts; oversee testing cycles; ensure solutions meet functional requirements and performance criteria.
• Change management & training: Create documentation and training materials; deliver enduser training and support knowledge transfer; champion adoption of new processes.
• Team leadership: Manage and mentor functional consultants and analysts; coordinate with technical teams (ABAP, BASIS) and external partners to ensure ontime, onbudget delivery.
• Golive & postimplementation support: Provide hypercare, troubleshoot issues, stabilise processes and implement continuous improvements; support future rollouts.

Experience:

• 10+ years of handson experience in SAP PP including at least 1-2 full lifecycle S/4HANA greenfield implementation.
• Proven history of leading blueprinting, build, cutover and golive activities, with strong postgolive support experience.
• Functional expertise: Deep understanding of manufacturing and productionplanning processes; proficiency in configuring MRP, master data (BOMs, routings, work centres), capacity planning, demand management and shopfloor execution.
• Technical integration: Familiarity with PP/DS, APO, SAP Fiori apps, SAP Activate methodology, and ability to work with ABAP developers on enhancements and interfaces.
• Project & team leadership: Demonstrated capability to lead crossfunctional teams, manage stakeholders and coordinate parallel workstreams in large transformation programmes.
• Analytical & communication skills: Strong problemsolving ability; adept at translating complex business requirements into scalable SAP solutions; excellent written and verbal communication.
• Travel & flexibility: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally based on project needs; ability to work with global teams across time zones.
