As an AI Data Engineering Manager, you will be expected to lead the AI and Agentic AI solution for UCAP. This will involve defining data design patterns for building and maturing large language models (LLMs). You will work closely with Business Analysts and Solution Architect to investigate, implement, and calibrate our UCAP AI solutions to achieve the desired VBA outcomes. You will support the establishment of AI performance baselines for generating clinical summaries to improve accuracy and will require continuous reviews with VBA stakeholders.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Leads a team of Data Scientists implement AI and Agentic AI to achieve desired business outcomes through UCAP
Utilizes machine learning based tools to monitor and analyze model performance
Utilizes advanced tools and computational skills to interpret, connect, predict, and make discoveries in complex data and deliver recommendations for business and analytic decisions
Evaluates the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and gathering techniques
Develops data-driven solutions for difficult business challenges
Collaborating with all Scrum Teams to integrate AI and Agentic AI into the workflow functionality for UCAP
Reviews test results for compliance against desired VBA outcomes
Utilizing professional judgement, critical thinking skills and research to improve processes and resolve issues affecting program performance
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business related field, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline with at least 10+ years of experience
Must have 5+ years of experience performing statistical analysis to include any combination of predictive analytics and broader data science tools to include AI
Must have 4+ years of data modeling support
Must have 2+ years of leading a team in data analytics
Programming skills: e.g. R, Python, Java, Scala
Understanding and experience with Agile & Lean principles & methodologies for incremental development and deployment
Must be able to obtain a Position of Trust and successfully pass a thorough Government background screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and fingerprinting
Desired Qualifications:
Strong knowledge of AI and Agentic AI
Attributes for Success:
Must demonstrate critical thinking skills to resolve operational issues and identify risks and mitigation
Must have outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present business leaders

The likely salary range for this position is $146,200 - $197,800. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
