Job Description

We are searching for a Database Application Architect to be responsible for contributing to and/or producing as they relate to the design, development, implementation, or enhancement of Oracle Form application solutions to support the centralization and cloud-modernization of the client.

What You ll Do

Prepare Deliverables within the timeframe specified by the Contract and/or Functional Manager(s)

The Contractor will be responsible for contributing to and/or producing as they relate to the design, development, implementation, or enhancement of Oracle Form application solutions include, but are not limited to Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization s architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budget

Makes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code

Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendations

Apply experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologies

Document Current (AS IS) state of technical environments

Operates as a technical lead in the reengineering of existing systems

Operates as a technical lead in the design and implementation of new systems

Comply with OATS Administrative Policies and Procedures by working directly with the Department s Contract Manager throughout the PO term

Prepare ISDM or Service Delivery Framework (SDF) documentation that indicates the project complies with OATS policies and procedures. Apprise OATS staff on ISDM or SDF information as directed by the Department s Contract Manager

Address Project Team conflict and communication problems proactively

Review required documentation evidencing the deliverable for completeness and correctness before submitting to the Project Team and Stakeholders. Obtain acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Contract Manager and appropriate Stakeholders

Required:

Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staff

A minimum of two to five years of programming/systems analysis experience

Skills in understanding Oracle databases, forms and reports

Educational qualifications meeting at least one of the following levels: A minimum of a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, information Systems or another related field, or equivalent work experience

Ability to write complex queries and develop complex PL/SQL database objects and \ or ability to write complex queries utilizing transact SQL

Knowledge of relational database design, data processing and data communications

Ability to write, read, and interpret technical specifications, test cases, and software requirements
