Description
We are looking for a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team in Jersey City, New Jersey. This Contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your expertise in cloud security to protect and optimize hybrid environments. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical capabilities and a proactive mindset to enhance security frameworks and respond effectively to potential threats.
Responsibilities:
Develop, fine-tune, and maintain Sentinel analytics rules, workbooks, hunting queries, and playbooks using Logic Apps.
Conduct proactive threat hunting across cloud and hybrid environments, leveraging frameworks such as MITRE ATT& CK.
Build and refine threat models and adversary simulations to identify detection gaps and strengthen system coverage.
Manage and investigate alerts and incidents using industry-standard tools, ensuring swift and effective resolution.
Create and execute complex queries using Kusto Query Language to support advanced hunting and custom detection scenarios.
Oversee log ingestion pipelines and data normalization schemas, ensuring seamless integration with Sentinel.
Translate attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures into actionable detection logic to mitigate potential risks.
Perform incident response activities, including root cause analysis and post-incident reporting, while collaborating with stakeholders and adhering to compliance standards.
Requirements
Extensive experience with Amazon CloudWatch, EC2, and AWS technologies.
Proficiency in automation tools such as Ansible and API development.
Familiarity with backup technologies and cluster analysis.
Hands-on expertise with Auto Scaling and managing cloud-based infrastructures.
Strong knowledge of Atlassian Jira for project tracking and collaboration.
Advanced skills in threat detection, modeling, and response within cloud environments.
Deep understanding of attacker techniques and the ability to design effective countermeasures.
Solid grasp of Kusto Query Language and its application in security operations.
