RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager (Workstream Lead) in Rapids, MI.
Duties:
Project and Program Oversight:
* Manages highly complex projects and programs, maintaining strong relationships with departmental leaders and stakeholders
* Oversees multiple projects simultaneously, developing comprehensive plans, budgets, and timelines
* Ensures projects are completed on schedule and within budget
* Leads and collaborates with project managers and workgroup leads to monitor cost, schedule, and technical performance, driving overall program success
* Provides mentorship and consultation as needed
Resource Planning and Coordination:
* Evaluates resource needs for each project and negotiates with leadership to secure necessary personnel and assets
* Collaborates with departments and leaders to effectively plan, schedule, and coordinate team efforts to meet project goals
Vendor Management and Service Oversight:
* Manages vendor relationships from contract initiation through project completion
* Oversees work assignments, resolves project-related issues, and ensures high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction
* Skilled at coordinating diverse and simultaneous workstreams across multiple areas
Cross-Departmental Collaboration:
* Acts as a liaison among various departments
* Builds strong communication and collaboration channels with stakeholders and business partners to ensure seamless service coordination and optimal resource use
Process Improvement:
* Analyzes and documents workflows, procedures, and outcomes to identify areas for continuous improvement
Standards and Methodology Adherence:
* Ensures compliance with project management methodology and quality standards
* Promotes project management best practices, serving as a change agent to enhance understanding and adoption of project management tools and frameworks across the organization
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; Master's degree or equivalent experience preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of relevant professional experience; 5 or more years of relevant experience, ideally in project management roles aligned with Project Management Institute (PMI) methodologies preferred
* Project Management expertise
Preferred Certifications and Experience include:
* Project Management Professional (PMP) - PMI
* Program Management Professional (PgMP) - PMI
* Leading multiple mid-sized project teams (8+ members) within a matrixed organization
* Supervising or directing cross-functional teams, either directly or indirectly
* Managing projects across diverse technologies and/or business functions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
