Description

SAIC's National Intelligence Community (NIC) Business Unit, USG Mission and Information Technology Division, provides solutions and services supporting digital modernization programs in areas such as systems engineering, multi-cloud computing, cybersecurity, data science and analytics, artificial intelligence and machine learning, quantum computing, application development, SecDevOps, cloud network operations, and secure communications.

We are seeking highly motivated Configuration Managers (CM) to join our team and leverage their technical expertise by developing or modifying configuration management (CM) plans, policies, and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of developmental or operational systems. As a Configuration Manager, you will be responsible for CM of developmental and operational systems, and will work on developmental and operational teams to create and maintain configuration baselines (e.g., development, test, production, etc.) to support these developmental and operational systems.

Responsibilities will vary based on skill level:
  • Implementing CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements and capabilities baselines to system end-of-life
  • Performing change control and configuration audits
  • Assisting in implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures
  • Implementing hardware and software version control processes, policies, and procedures, and ensuring they are followed on hardware and software development projects
  • Understanding basic concepts, and assisting in managing, maintaining, and developing the CM environment for hardware and software product build, staging, testing, and integration
  • Working independently to apply concepts, and assisting in defining and implementing hardware and software CM processes and procedures such as creating product build scripts, and integrating those scripts with the hardware and software build process
  • Serving as an advisor to (or non-voting member of) Government Change Control Board (CCB)

Qualifications

Qualifications will vary based on skill level:
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required for all skill levels
  • Years of relevant experience and education:
    • Entry level: 0 - 3 years of CM experience and an Associate degree in a technical or business discipline (Two (2) years of additional CM experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
    • Senior level: 6 - 8 years of CM experience and a Bachelor's degree in a technical or business discipline (Four (4) years of additional CM experience may be substituted in lieu of degree)
  • Experience utilizing CM tools (e.g., DOORS and/or Eclipse) to store, track, and manage configuration items
  • If assigned to a developmental program, one (1) year of experience utilizing a source code control system for a developmental program of similar scope and complexity is required

Desired:
  • Master's degree in a technical or business discipline
