We are seeking a Lead Epic Applications Analyst to act as the technical leader for Epic applications, guiding Senior and Epic Application Analysts while driving cross-application collaboration including partnerships with Cogito reporting teams. This role combines leadership, mentorship, and advanced technical expertise to ensure the optimal performance and continuous improvement of Epic systems.

Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Mentorship
Lead and mentor Epic Analysts, supporting team development and knowledge growth.
Provide tools, resources, and guidance to drive team performance.
Collaboration & Communication
Facilitate discussions with operations, training, and reporting teams.
Serve as liaison between IT and business/clinical operations to ensure alignment.
System Design & Optimization
Lead design, build, testing, and maintenance of Epic applications.
Identify workflow inefficiencies (denials, care gaps) and recommend solutions.
Implement system changes and coordinate Epic upgrades.
Technical Support & Troubleshooting
Provide Tier 3 support for complex issues and escalations.
Track/manage tickets and ensure SLA compliance.
Governance & Project Management
Oversee change control processes, track KPIs, and align with strategic planning.
Coordinate with vendors and governance teams to meet business needs.
Training & Documentation
Review and maintain training materials and documentation.
Ensure updates align with system changes.
Ongoing Learning & Travel
Stay current with Epic certifications, EHR standards, and best practices.
Occasional travel may be required.
Top Skills & Requirements:
5+ years as an Analyst supporting Epic EHR (Patient Access Suite: Cadence and Prelude).
Active Cadence and Prelude Certifications.
Hands-on experience building work queues, rules, decision trees, referrals, and authorizations workflows in Cadence/Prelude.
Nice to Have:
Epic MyChart experience.
Epic Resolute Professional Billing and Claims.
Epic HIM Suite (HIM, Identity, Release of Information).
