Description
We are looking for a skilled Engineer to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on a long-term contract basis. In this role, you will design and implement innovative software solutions to address complex challenges, ensuring they are stable, scalable, and resilient. You will also collaborate with various teams, provide guidance to less experienced developers, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the software engineering lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop software solutions that align with customer needs and organizational goals.
Apply critical thinking to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues independently or as part of a team.
Contribute to software planning, low-level design, and implementation to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address technical challenges and deliver scalable solutions.
Participate in DevOps activities, including system support and knowledge building for focused subsystems.
Lead or assist in recruiting efforts by participating in interviews and evaluating potential talent.
Provide training and technical guidance to less experienced engineers to enhance their skills.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate new techniques to improve software products.
Ensure all software solutions meet industry standards for security, stability, and scalability.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
3 to 5 years of experience in software engineering, including coding, debugging, and testing.
Proficiency in Python, Terraform, AWS Lambda, and Postgres.
Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related best practices.
Knowledge of system design principles to ensure secure and stable software.
Ability to analyze and debug complex code and log files to resolve defects.
Familiarity with database querying for data retrieval and updates.
Solid grasp of DevOps principles and experience in collaborative environments.
