Data Architect who is motivated by variety, is seeking a challenging environment for professional growth, and is interested in supporting large information technology projects for one of our clients in the northeast.
The Data Architect will design and manage the organization's data infrastructure, creating blueprints for how data is collected, stored, and integrated to meet business goals. They will work with data engineers, analysts, business leaders, and compliance teams to align data strategy with business objectives and ensure successful implementation.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in related field with 8+ years of experience as a data engineer Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Experience in transformation business requirements into optimal data model. Ideally experience working with customer analytics.
- Expertise in dimensional modeling (Star and Snowflake schemas)
- Experience with AWS Redshift and performance optimization
- Knowledge of AWS Glue, Redshift, Step Functions for data architecture
- Familiar with AWS DataZone for data lineage and governance
- Self-driven and have demonstrated the ability to work independently with minimum guidance
- Demonstrated multitasking ability, problem solving skills and a consistent record of on time delivery and customer service
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Work with business SMEs to understand analytical and reporting requirements
- Translate business and reporting needs into conceptual, logical, and physical data models
- Define data standards, relationships, and data pipeline transformation requirements for data engineering implementation
- Design and implement and Redshift data models, including tables, views/materialized view to ensure optimal performance and scalability
Preferred Qualifications:
- Utilities experience
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (or Associate)
- AWS Certified Data Engineer - Associate
