Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Description:

6+ months. 100% Onsite.

Responsibilities:


  • Implement and support Lean and Six Sigma concepts
  • Create manufacturing PFMEAs and Control Plans
  • Discover opportunities for improving tooling and processes
  • Remain up to date on latest methods and technologies and evaluate their relevance within manufacturing and assembly operations
  • Oversee and report key metrics and forge improvement plans
  • Lead and take part in continual improvement activities such as SPS, 5S, Six Sigma, and ISO
  • Ensure timely completion of action items from SPS and ISO audits
  • Aid in establishment, implementation, and maintenance of quality management systems
  • Lead and make contributions to Digital Quality implementation
  • Arrange Pareto charts and 8D reports as required
  • Enhance customer satisfaction and meet quality goals through project and process implementation
  • Other duties as required

Skills & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field required
  • Skillful in Lean and Six Sigma techniques and statistical methods
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools, 8D, 5S, Six Sigma tools, Kaizen events, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Auditing, Process Flow, Process Capability analysis, ISO, and Poka Yoke design
  • Proven experience with Quality, Industrial, and/or Manufacturing Engineering
  • Strong mechanical skills
  • Ability to lead and work well with others
