Job Details
As an EQ Lead Engineer, you will provide leadership and coordination of all seismic qualification efforts, both by testing and analysis, lead complex technical projects, coordinating diverse teams to accomplish project goals while meeting established schedule and budget requirements, support new engineer recruiting and onboarding, and identify and define technical challenges - direct efforts to successful resolution.
You will report to the Manager, Qualification Operations and be located at our New Stanton, PA facility. You will have a hybrid work schedule out of the New Stanton, PA facility.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and coordination of all seismic qualification efforts, both by testing and analysis
Lead complex technical projects, coordinating diverse teams to accomplish project goals while meeting established schedule and budget requirements
Oversight of seismic engineer team (mentoring, training, review of TLDP progression, assignments for development, issue resolution.
Support new engineer recruiting and onboarding.
Identify and define technical challenges - direct efforts to successful resolution
Support the Qualification Operations manager in workload planning and resource assignments
Provide technical guidance, direction, and collaborate with other personnel including partners such as outside labs, sub-contractors, suppliers, fabricators and customers
Support preparation of requests for quotation (RFQs) and project change offers including scope statements, specifications, cost estimates, plans and schedules
Improve seismic qualification methods
Manage capital planning and spending for seismic test facilities
Provide consultation to establish qualification strategy for product obsolescence.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
10+ years of experience.
Subject matter expert competency level in seismic testing and/or evaluation
Engineering knowledge and advanced technical skills
Engineering leadership experience
Knowledge of IEEE and Reg Guide standards for Equipment Qualification
Experience in the nuclear industry, specifically in nuclear power plant safety/non-safety systems with working knowledge of 10CFR50 Appendix B, NQA-1, and 10 CFR Part 21
We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $116,800 to $146,000 per year.
