Thermal SQA Data Analyst

The thermal SQA team is looking for a highly motivated, self-driven individual to drive analytics data collection for Thermal control systems. We need to understand customer usage patterns to tailor our software and hardware solutions to meet our customer's needs. The ideal candidate for this role will shape the vision of the analytics practice for thermals and provide hands-on expertise to deliver critical data needed in our everyday business decisions.

Need an engineer that has good SQL & Python coding background and can learn the concepts of Closed Loop Thermal Management on Apple products and is able to assist with data analysis, building analytical tools/dashboard, and results analysis.

In Scope

• Aptitude for data analysis, with a strong statistics or quantitative background
• Experience with visualizing data in Tableau, Splunk, and/or Python
• Familiarity with database technologies, database bringup, and query optimization
• Strong communication and presentational skills
• Expertise in collaborating with many cross-functional teams; demonstrated team player
• Time management and organizational skills. Capable of effectively switching between tasks many times in a workday.
• Familiarity with thermal control system is a bonus

Success Criteria/Definition of Done

Success criteria will be completing development of understanding and vetting thermal data, build new analytical/reporting tools, executing manual and automated test cases (if needed), analyzing test results to find issues across all the major hardware phases for the product

Technical Requirements

Proficient data querying skills (SQL) and experience with a scripting language (Python)

QA fundamentals & Software programming experience in C, C++, ObjC, and/or Swift is a bonus

Build dashboards & reports to convey findings from collected analytics data in a clear and effective manner.
