Azure Dev Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Dev Engineer to join our team and work on a key application that accelerates research and translational sciences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, configuring and deploying cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience infrastructure automation using Terraform, and source control/CI-CD practices with GitHub, coding experience using C# among others

Azure Dev Engineer
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Azure Dev Engineer to join our team and work on a key application that accelerates research and translational sciences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing, configuring and deploying cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, with hands-on experience infrastructure automation using Terraform, and source control/CI-CD practices with GitHub, coding experience using C# among others
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy scalable solutions using Azure services (e.g., Azure Web App, Azure Functions, Azure SQL, Data Factory, Log Analytics, KeyVault)
- Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring repeatable and secure cloud environments.
- Utilize GitHub for source control, code reviews, and CI/CD automation (GitHub Actions, native runners)
- Develop and maintain APIs, middleware, and microservices architectures.
- Apply DevOps automation best practices for build, test, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Azure cloud resources for performance and security.
- Stay current with Azure advancements, distributed computing, and DevOps trends.
Requirements
- Proven experience managing cloud native applications that rely on Microsoft Azure with a focus on DevOps automation.?
- Proven experience with Terraform for infrastructure provisioning and automation.
- Solid understanding of GitHub workflows, including GitHub Actions for CI/CD.
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET for cloud-native application development.
- Experience with configuration and automation of native services like, but not limited to, Azure Web App, Azure SQL, App Insights, Azure Data Factory, Networking, Functions.
- Knowledge of test automation (BDD, solution design).
- Strong problem-solving skills, root cause analysis, and ability to work independently and in teams.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
