Role :Senior UX/UI Software Developer (Java)

We are looking to recruit an experienced Software Developer. Reporting to the Team Lead and working closely with the Product Owner and remaining Scrum team, you will be responsible for implementing services and features in our suite of applications in a multi-year roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working within the Scrum team design and implement new features and services as prioritised by the Product Owner.
  • Maintain a high level of quality in your output and test your own work before passing to QA for verification.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of existing and emerging technologies relevant to the role
  • Communicate and escalate issues in a clear and timely manner


Essential Attributes

  • 7+ years of experience in Software development of complex applications. Excellent understanding of design principles and considerations, best practice
  • Expert Java development experience with strong design pattern background, understanding of design principles, and UI/UX experience
  • Experienced in connecting and working with cloud technologies
  • Familiarity with build pipeline tools and technologies such as: Jenkins, Gitlab, Gradle
  • Experience writing unit tests
  • Participate in requirements analysis to ensure a clear understanding of complex business logic and technical constraints.
  • Conduct code reviews to uphold compliance with development guidelines.
  • Contribute to following and improving the DevSecOps pipeline by integrating best practices into development and deployment processes.
  • Working in an Agile development environment and actively contributing to Sprint planning and other ceremonies
  • Must be self-motivated but needs to work well in a team environment
  • Excellent analytical, communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-Starter; willing to learn new technologies, ability to learn fast
  • Team player; willing to coach junior team members and cooperate on problem solving

Desirable Attributes

  • Experience leading a team of developers and testers
  • AI/ML work experience
  • Understanding of Machine Learning technologies (Python, TensorFlow etc.)
  • Experience in Geology domain especially Oil and Gas
  • Undergraduate degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
  • Agile Scrum certification
  • Experienced in working with remote teams
