Job Details

We are looking for a highly skilled PLC Ignition Expert for a long-term onsite opportunity in Columbus, IN. Relocation is accepted. The ideal candidate will have over 9 years of experience in full stack development, with strong expertise in Ignition, Web Integration, PLC Communication, Database Interaction, and Event Scripting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support Ignition-based applications including UI, scripting, and database connectivity.

  • Implement REST/SOAP integrations for data exchange.

  • Read/write to PLCs through Ignition gateway.

  • Conduct UAT and support business users in validation/testing.

  • Collaborate with plant stakeholders including IT, Controls, and Industrial Engineers.

  • Split time across Cummins CMEP and CEP plants.

Required Skills:

  • 9+ years of full stack development experience

  • Strong experience in Ignition HMI/SCADA development

  • REST and SOAP web API integration

  • PLC Communication (read/write)

  • SQL/Oracle/Postgres database interaction

  • Event scripting (Python, Java, VB)

  • Mobile robotic automation knowledge

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Database design experience

  • Previous manufacturing/plant automation project experience
