we are looking for a Sr. Embedded Security Engineer for a direct Manufacturing client.  

 

Job Title: Sr. Embedded Security Engineer

Location: Newark CA

Type: Contract

 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to Embedded security requirements, design, and test specifications.
  • Implement production-quality software components according to specifications.
  • Collaborate with internal development teams to review application code and enhance security posture.
  • Communicate security-related concepts to both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Provide mentorship to junior team members.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • 5+ years of related experience.
  • Expertise in Embedded Security, including ARM Trust Zone and Trusted Execution Environment.
  • Proficient in Secure Boot and Secure Storage.
  • Excellent Embedded System programming skills in C.
  • Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Extensive background in designing and developing Cyber Security methodologies, adhering to Security standards.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of cryptography hardware, key management, and certificate management.
  • Extensive experience in threat modeling and attack analysis.
  • Proficiency in using Security-related tools and analyzing data.
  • Integration/porting experience in Hardware Security Modules.
  • Strong fundamentals in Linux.
  • Ability to incorporate Security aspects into the product development life cycle.
  • Proficient in one or more programming languages (C/C++).
  • Extensive experience with pen testing tools and security attack vectors.
  • Solid understanding of network concepts, including TCP/IP protocol stack, HTTP and TLS, DDoS detection/prevention, Intrusion detection, and prevention.
  • Experience with automated (NIDS/HIDS) and manual tools for network and host anomaly detection.
  • Familiarity with Agile development environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience with Automotive communication protocols is a plus.
  • Desirable knowledge of socket programming.
